Happy Valentine's Day

While we aren't too big on Valentine's day our day started with pink heart chocolate chip pancakes (which started out looking like real hearts until I got the hang of it) and just got sweeter, literally. Amelia was in pink sugar heaven. DJ gave me flowers, chocolates, and promises he didn't intend to keep (bringing $10,000 home today). I think he has watched too much Beauty and the Beast. Don't worry he also gave me a promise he does intent to keep, to be my eternal valentine, and a date sometime soon. But I reminded him that he is not my only valentine, my sweet Dad still sends me, and now the kids too, a special valentine package. I love it.

Oh boy

We have had inklings of it before. When Bryson was no more than a few weeks old Amelia yelled at him for "almost" touching her with his feet. A few months later she yelled at him for looking at her in the car, and wanted me to stop him. Fairly often when he is crying she will yell at him that he is too loud, and she is definitely starting to get upset when he tryings to get her toys, especially her little princess dolls and doll house, which he loves and has become a MAJOR motivating force in his scooting abilities (DJ is going to tell B that he was motivated by "action figures" and their "base", but I digress).

He even occasionally pulls the bumper down in his crib to look at Amelia about a foot away, sometimes this ends in giggles, sometimes not. Then there was tonight. What were your kids doing at 10:18pm. I am guessing they were tucked in bed, fast asleep. If you would have been in our house and listening to our baby monitor you would have heard this:

(To set the stage Bryson learned how to sit up by himself yesterday and has found great pride in this fact, so he was demonstrating his new trick. Also keep in mind that they had been up there for an hour slowly building up)
B: intermittent noises
A: You're too loud
B: Ah
A: No
B: Ah
A: No
B: Ah (louder)
A: No (louder)
B: AH (louder)
A: NO (louder)
B : AAHH (louder)
A: NNOO (louder)
B : Second verse same and the first, little bit louder and a little bit worse
A: NO NO NO NO NO
B: AH AH AH AH (and then giggling)
A:YOU ARE TOO LOUD
B: AH
A: I NEED TO SLEEP (I don't know if I have ever heard those words from her before)
B: AH
A: MMMOOOOMMMMYYYYY!

This whole time DJ and I were just cracking up. Brings back some childhood memories. I decided to save Amelia, who had no idea that he was just copying her, and went up and got the little stinker who looked quite pleased with himself and stuck him in the packnplay in the office, where he ends up way too often. How do you guys have kids that share rooms?

This was a live picture of his joy.
