Oh boy
He even occasionally pulls the bumper down in his crib to look at Amelia about a foot away, sometimes this ends in giggles, sometimes not. Then there was tonight. What were your kids doing at 10:18pm. I am guessing they were tucked in bed, fast asleep. If you would have been in our house and listening to our baby monitor you would have heard this:
(To set the stage Bryson learned how to sit up by himself yesterday and has found great pride in this fact, so he was demonstrating his new trick. Also keep in mind that they had been up there for an hour slowly building up)
B: intermittent noises
A: You're too loud
B: Ah
A: No
B: Ah
A: No
B: Ah (louder)
A: No (louder)
B: AH (louder)
A: NO (louder)
B : AAHH (louder)
A: NNOO (louder)
B : Second verse same and the first, little bit louder and a little bit worse
A: NO NO NO NO NO
B: AH AH AH AH (and then giggling)
A:YOU ARE TOO LOUD
B: AH
A: I NEED TO SLEEP (I don't know if I have ever heard those words from her before)
B: AH
A: MMMOOOOMMMMYYYYY!

What's in a name?

When putting her boots on the wrong feet I corrected her to which she replied "this is the way they go, sorry" in her sassiest voice.
Her most repeated phrase lately is "Mommy, you're being bossy!" Nice.
The other day when told she needed to sit on the potty before bed she flat out refused. DJ made her and she stomped in sat on the potty, crossed her arms, and scowled. When DJ asked if she indeed went she sharply said "yes" and the she proceeded to get the tiniest piece of toilet paper and asked if it was enough (yes she knows how much is enough, she does it by herself all the time), when told no she threw it on the floor and gruffly got some more, wiped and chucked it in the potty with all her might. She then got down and stomped some more as she pulled her pants back up and picked up the little piece she threw earlier and again threw it this time into the toilet. We then tucked her into bed and asked if she was comfy, she replied "no, not yet". When I asked why she said it was because "Daddy made me sit on the potty and I didn't want to."
Now, I don't know about you but it sure sounds like we have a 3 year old who apparently won't be turning 4 soon, it will be more like 14. At least from my memory that is how I acted around that age. Mom, Dad what do you think?
Our new little sunbeam
And just in case you ever get exposed to the stomach flu and you pray with all your might that your family won't get it, and say over and over that you would rather have a bad cold than the stomach flu...be prepared to get what you ask for.

Picture overload
Here is another one I love that shows of Bryson's sweet shirt. It says "I ate Santa's cookies, but I left him some milk". Which I am sure he would do if he had the chance.

These next few are from Christmas day. Amelia was definitely into Santa this year and wrote him a pretty hefty list, thankfully knowing that he only picks a few. DJ and I got a little nervous when she came down Christmas morning wondering which box her Belle dress was in...um...none. But luckily when she opened up her princess dolls and dollhouse she quickly forgot, and we dodged a bullet that I am sure will hit in a future year. If you were wondering what Amelia likes to do all day long a clue would sound something like this "I hope my princess is coming soon..." unfortunately that princess would be me.
My masterpiece. You can't see it, but I even shingled the roof.
Bryson was just happy watching everything, and wanting to grab everything. Amelia yelled at him alot, poor guy. One of his favorite presents was one that combined two of his favorite things, a ball and a rattle. This little dude loves to rock and wiggle dances to anything that remotely sounds like music.
This would be our best attempt at a family picture at my parents house. Also you can't see it very well but Bryson and DJ have coordinating Rocky shirts. DJ was so proud.
And finally, I had to include the girly hair. There are so many more, but, I need to go to bed. A good new years resolution might be something like not blogging at midnight. But then again, when you get woken up at 12:30 every night, what's the point. And yes, we have tried getting B to sleep through the night, this past week in fact. To make a long story short, the first night there was 2 hours of solid screaming where DJ proclaimed if I didn't feed him he would. Followed by nights of less screaming but waking up every 15minutes-2 hours practically all night, which of course I cannot handle or B just gets MAD. And with no improvement 6 days later and DJ having to start waking up at 5:45 again tomorrow, it got nipped in the bud. Yay. If anyone needs anything around 12:30 or 5:30 let me know, I'll be up.
