9 months

On Monday Amelia turned 9 months old. She is a mere 3 months away from her first birthday! Time sure flies. The 9 month marker meant another doctors visit, this time thankfully without shots. Amelia is now 19lbs. 4oz. (about 55%) and 28 3/4 inches long (about 90%), she is slowly supposedly slimming down but her height has been amazingly consistent, and her head has had a growth spurt going from the 20th to the 40th%. That means that from her 6 month appointment. (which was only 2 1/2 months ago) she has gained exactly 2 lbs and 2 in. I'm preparing to have to buy a whole new wardrobe soon, her 6-12 month clothes are now starting to fit perfectly. That means bring on the high waters!

Now, I love my little girl but I find it hard to believe that she can be in the 55% for weight and the 90% for height and have the rolls that she does. They are a thing to behold, they crack me up. Now I don't think she looks chubby until you get her clothes off. I think she just carries the weight in very strategic places, like her forearms (which are bigger than her biceps) and her thighs. Her hands, feet, ankles, and wrists are also quite a sight, like little sausage links. I'm so used to them though that I forget until I see another babies hands and then I just have to laugh. You got to admit, it's pretty funny.
