Bit of this, bit of that

This last weekend we were able to go to DJ's family's cabin. We spent time with a bunch of his family, come to think of it, it was the youngest 4 siblings and their families. We ate, talked, the boys had quite an adventure to Crazy Eric's Burgers, and we watched an Ernest movie. I think his family kept Ernest in business, they love those stupid movies. There was also a huge lightning storm with torrential downpours. It was great.

In other news Amelia has officially learned how to reach out and grab well enough to start pulling on hair, faces, jewelry, clothes etc, etc. She can put a death grip on just about anything she wants to now. I was somewhat loathing this phase of her little life. I like my hair on my head, not in her hands. My shirt necklines not stretched out, my lips attached to my face and her fingers out of my nose, and I know that DJ agrees, he has gotten a few good yanks as well. She is also napping better now and is back to her happy self. YAY!

I will now show some pictures (you can click on them to make them bigger) of the July Challenge per DJ's request. The July Challenge, for those uninformed, consisted of not shaving for the whole month of July. They were allowed to shave parts (since not all can grow it fully and we didn't need them walking around with random long hairs on their cheeks) and even keep it trimmed if they wanted. But they had to have some facial hair. Then at the end of the month they all got together to shave them crazy and take pictures, some left that for another day or two as well. Who would be a part of this weird challenge you ask. None other than DJ's family. They had so much fun, they want to make it a yearly tradition.



Oh, and guess who can grow the least facial hair...you guessed it, it's DJ.
